Being a very sad person my eye is often drawn to the improper use of the apostrophe. In this case the sign was in Ikea, Purley Way, Croydon, The South London for you Left pondians

Roses has been given one and should not have, where as Valentine's should and wasn't.

An old photo album containing postcards and part of a tourist newspaper from London. The paper was given to me by other students. We were touring parts of Europe in 1979.

I used my 50mm lens reversed to experiment with a really shallow depth-of-field a while ago. The results were interesting.

Monday Magazine is a weekly newsmagazine in Victoria. It sometmes prints controversial stuff but isn't a tabloid. The staff do have fun playing with the cover though.

This was taken outside of the Hirshhorn museum in Washington DC. It has the phrase "Don't be afraid!" in many different languages. I thought it was pretty smart that they put the English translation really small. I wasn't even able to get it in this picture.

February Theme: Words And Writing

Written language is an important part of our daily lives. We read websites, blogs, books, and many other publications. When we walk down the street we read signs and graffiti. Writing is everywhere. This month we will be presenting photographs of writing in all its myriad forms. Enjoy.
